The Battery Charger

controller unit and battery chargercontroller unit and battery chargerThe Flex Belt is powered by a rechargeable battery charger. The controller unit has a connector that plugs into the battery charger. And before your first use, you need to charge the battery by inserting your charger into an electrical outlet for approximately 2 to 3 hours to fully charge the battery. You’ll know the unit has been fully charged when all three lights of the battery icon are full. The bulb in the battery icon will start flashing when the battery is low and needs to be recharged.

Be careful not to leave your unit connected to the charger when the battery is fully charged. Always unplug the charger from the electrical outlet when the device is not in use. Overcharging the battery may lower its lifetime. Also, if you leave the flex belt unused for an extended period of time, the battery will start losing its power slowly.

After charging the battery for months, you will find that the battery capacity will be smaller. That’s because all rechargeable batteries start losing their charge over time. So you may need to replace it to get a few more sessions in for every full battery charge.

To replace the battery, remove the small rubber plug from the back cover of your unit. Then take a screwdriver and remove the screws found on the back cover. Then replace the old battery pack with a new rechargeable battery pack and put back the battery cover.

Do not dispose of the old battery pack in fire or it may explode. The battery may also explode if it is handled inappropriately. Leaving the battery in extreme temperatures may cause it to malfunction. Always dispose of the battery according to your local regulations. Recycle it if possible.
